A school at Namchhe village, in Dhankuta District, eastern Nepal, has been successful to control migration by operating a drinking water project. About 24 families, out of 48 who had migrated to different places of Dharan, Biratnagar and Tarai, have returned after the local school, Gramin Janata Madhyamik Bidhyalaya, installed a drinking water system.

A joint UN-HABITAT – ADB Mission visited Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur from 18-20 May 2005 to explore the feasibility of Small Scale Piped Water Systems for these cities. Arnold Schwarzenegger said on Thursday.
