Contern, Luxembourg – The Luxembourg-based cleantech company Epuramat recently introduced its newly developed container water treatment facility Box4Water to the public for the first time. Box4Water can treat very dirty wastewater all the way up to drinking water quality. The 20' container holds a complete wastewater facility for approximately 200 residents. The system radically simplifies water treatment for small and medium-sized industries and communities. The event, which was attended by over 100 guests, was held on 30 January 2009 at the premises of the S.I.D.E.S.T. municipal water treatment facility at Uebersyren in Luxembourg.

The water treatment system, which is housed in the compact measurements of a 20' container, combines state-of-the-art water preparation technology with Epuramat's pre-clarifying module "ExSep". It is only through the highly efficient functionality of the extreme separator “ExSep” that such a tremendous reduction in space for a complete water treatment facility was achieved. The Box4Water container water treatment facility can treat wastewater up to drinking water quality. In addition to a basic version of a system, additional options with regard to the preparation of different water qualities are also available. The target groups for Box4Water consist of small and medium-sized industries and communities as well as NGOs. Industries can use water cleaned by Box4Water in circulation or feed it in directly. Using the decentralized container option, communities can save on the significant investments which are required for pumping stations and the construction of canals to the next water treatment facility. Aid organizations can utilize Box4Water to immediately supply water in crisis and disaster areas. Box4Water by Epuramat features many advantages. Besides the enormous space savings, it also features investment and operating cost advantages, along with a tremendously shortened construction period and simplified approval processes as compared to conventional water treatment systems.

With its container water treatment system, Epuramat allows for a radical simplification of wastewater treatments for small and medium-sized industries and communities. In the course of the implementation of the European water framework guideline until 2015, the cleantech company provides a solution which can comply with all standards and guidelines. In addition, Epuramat’s Box4Water is CE-certified.
