Water Link Directory - Water Links, Sanitation Links, and Environmental Links
Water is everything. We are water. Water surrounds and sustains us.
Water Link Directory is a hand-edited link directory that provides links to institutions and organizations that are involved in the subject of water. We invite governmental entities, companies, nonprofit corporations, organizations, communities and individuals to submit their links for inclusion.
Additionally, Water Link Directory provides articles relating to water. We would like to become a repository for useful and interestingarticles that will be a resource to those working in the field. You areinvited to submit original articles for publication.
Water is a big field. In deciding how to structure this directory, we have chosen to encompass all topics that are included in, or associated with the subject of water.
While our focus is on the global crisis relating to access to potable drinking water in developing countries, we feel that a more comprehensive approach is helpful.
Sanitation is very closely aligned with water, especially in the concept of the need for a clean safe water supply in developing countries.
We have also included the category of Environment. This category can be considered as an umbrella category, in that the environment both encompasses water and has a great effect on water.
The first three categories are appropriate for activities on the project or community level. The Environment category is for the broader problems and solutions, usually outside the immediate scope of control of individual projects.
Finally, we have the category that we consider the most important of all, Communities in Need. This directory is basically a place for you to find solutions, But solutions for what? We want this directory to serve as a resource for communities that have a dire need for water and sanitation services.
So, we are asking community groups seeking assistance with their projects to submit links to their websites and articles regarding their needs. Unlike the other categories, we have broken this down geographically.
Our hope is that when organizations and companies with solutions submit their sites for inclusion in this directory, they will look in the Communities in Need section, and see if there is something they can do to help.
